These Days are Precious!

General Research and Information Page

Welcome to this page, especially If you or a member of your family has a communication disorder. You or your family member are not alone.  Based on research noted in The Laryngeoscope 5% to10% of Americans may have some form of a communication disorder. There is another important article from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders that notes approximately 1 million Americans have aphasia.  This article also provides statistical information about other communication disorders that many people face each day.

The value of time cannot be emphasized enough in these days.  Communication is often taken for granted until we see the impact it has on socialization, education, and basic everyday living.  Whether the difficulties are concomitant with a congenital disorder, were revealed during childhood development, or were from a sudden onset, it can be life altering.  Do not hesitate to give us a call.  We can provide a free consultative visit.
